Start with the county GIS directory
Greenwood County publishes GIS resources through its IT/GIS department. Use its official directory to find public mapping tools and locate the property you want to discuss. For a property in another county, start with that county’s official mapping department.
Use maps to prepare questions
A public map is useful context for a conversation. Bring an existing survey if you have one and ask the appropriate office about boundaries or records that need clarification. Do not use a screenshot from an online map as a construction layout.
Connect the records to your plans
Write down what is already on the shoreline and the changes you are considering. Lake Management is the starting point for lake-related review; the county planning department also publishes local planning resources. Warren Marine can use the information you gather to discuss the proposed scope.
